Our story
Hurricane Air Drilling Services is a specialist air and underbalanced drilling contractor based in Diyarbakır, Türkiye. Founded by operations engineer Berat Karayılan, the company was built on a simple idea: that the most challenging wells deserve dedicated specialists rather than generalist service.
Since October 2024 we have proudly carried out pressurised air and underbalanced drilling operations for TPAO (Turkish Petroleum) across the country. We have completed 45+ wells and more than 16,000 meters of drilling — with hammer and conventional methods — while rapidly scaling to five field teams.
Our self-sustaining packages — compressors, boosters, nitrogen units, mist pumps, DTH hammers and rotating control devices — operate as stand-alone spreads stocked with abundant spares, backed by an unwavering commitment to safety, with zero lost-time incidents to date.
